Breana Shannon Hancock is a NYC based filmmaker. Growing up on Long Island, New York, her love for film was apparent even as a child when she was never without her Barbie Camcorder. Breana attended Long Island High School for the Arts where she began learning her craft and exploring self-expression through all mediums of art. Breana is set to receive a BFA in Film and Media Production, as well as a BA in Theater and New Media, from Marymount Manhattan College in May of 2022. She's passionate about portraying powerful and positive queer love through her films, and she hopes to continue creating art for and about queer people. Breana exhibits her skills, honed during her time at school and through her professional production experience, in her debut short film “i hope you mourn me,” which she wrote, directed, DPed, and edited.
